I felt like [the] art journaling opened new creative avenues for me! The thing I really learned was that I like to make art with other people.
— Teresa, art journaling, drawing and watercolour painting participant
It was a lovely afternoon. Both relaxed and informative. We were taken through each stage of the process. Definitely took away some pointers which will help me improve my work in the future.
— Lorraine W., Linocut course participant.

Building a creative community through accessible, positive art education programs

I guide adults in finding calm and clarity through creative expression. My small-group classes offer more than just art instruction—they're a welcoming community where you can connect with others who share your creative spirit. More about this on my blog.

Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or rediscovering a forgotten passion, I break down drawing, painting, and printmaking into approachable, confidence-building skills. My approach transforms "I wish I could" into "I actually can," giving you the foundation to grow and experiment with your creative voice. More about my background and philosophy of teaching.

Each class is thoughtfully structured to help you enter a state of flow for 2-3 hours. By focusing on fundamental techniques rather than overwhelming complexity, you'll find yourself fully immersed in the creative process—a space where everyday worries fade and wellbeing flourishes.

I'm an artist and educator with eleven years of experience teaching visual arts in UK secondary schools, where I've had the privilege of guiding young people through creative techniques and artistic discovery.

Through my own journey with art and mindfulness, I've discovered how powerfully creative practice supports mental well-being. This realization inspired me to bring my skills beyond the classroom—to build a thriving rural arts community in Barnack UK and the surrounding areas, where adults can experience these same benefits.

My focus now is celebrating the vibrant communities around Stamford through two interconnected passions: capturing the area's character in my own artwork, and creating spaces where others can discover how visual art-making enhances health and wellbeing in supportive, small-group settings.

I believe that everyone has creative potential waiting to be unlocked. With the right encouragement and guidance, anyone can explore their creativity across different media and experience the transformative, mindful benefits that visual arts offer. I'm here to support that journey.

This is me.
